Direct link between gum health to heart disease and stroke

People with gum disease have bacteria chronically going into their blood circulation through the mouth, which triggers a cascade of inflammatory reaction from the body. the end result is thickening of the patient’s blood which blocks arteries in the heart and brain. People with gum disease have 4 times higher chances to develop heart attacks and strokes.
