At Bridlewood Dental we use technology such as digital X-rays and intraoral scanners to provide our patients with dental care.
Technologies at Our Dental Clinic
At Bridlewood Dental, the technology we use helps to inform treatment planning and ensure your dental appointments run as smoothly as possible.
Our treatment rooms are equipped with monitors that allow us to show you the results of your X-rays and walk you through any issues in your mouth and clearly explain treatment options.
Our goal is to be sure patients are fully informed about their oral health and any recommended treatments. Dental technology helps us do that.
Digital X-Rays
Digital X-rays use digital sensors instead of traditional photographic X-ray film. They produce highly detailed computer images of the teeth and gums, as well as other oral structures and conditions, allowing your dentist to examine parts of the mouth that are not visible to the naked eye.
Panoramic X-Rays
Panoramic X-rays allow your dentist to create a single image of your entire mouth. This image is a flat representation of the teeth, upper and lower jaws, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), and nasal and sinus structures. Panoramic X-rays are often used to help plan for dentures, orthodontic treatment, and extractions.
Intraoral Scanners
Intraoral scanners create digital dental impressions, which can be an ideal alternative to traditional dental impressions that may be messy and time-consuming. Your dentist simply uses an optical scanning wand to take a digital image of your teeth within minutes. This device allows your dentist to capture highly accurate data to create digital replicas of the hard and soft tissues of your mouth.
